AEGD Graduation

At the end of July, Richard graduated from his one year AEGD Residency. He really got to do a lot of interesting cases and sharpen his dentistry skills, so I think the experience was definitely worth the extra year in the military.

They had a small ceremony to hand out certificates to the residents. I was the only one who brought kids, so I was trying my best to keep them quiet. Unfortunately, when Commander Mayberry started giving his speech, Annie yelled out, "Quiet!". Then a few minutes later, while he was still talking, she yelled out, "Sit down!". Luckily, he had a great sense of humor about it!

The best part was that Richard was named the top resident! I couldn't be more proud and I'm not surprised. He's the hardest worker I know. Afterwards, we got to stay for a potluck lunch and mingle with the other doctors and techs and assistants. He worked with some very nice people, so it was a fun afternoon.
