The End of Spring

The end of Spring meant it was finally berry picking time. We went out to a cute strawberry farm and picked lots of yummy berries. The next day, while Ella was at school, Ruby and Annie helped me make lots of freezer jam. Then, of course, we had to make some delicious bread to go along with it. Nothing better!
I've been making all of our bread for several months now and this is the very best recipe for whole wheat bread ever! I put the recipe on our Sweet teeth blog. Try it!

My cute assistant:
She was fabulous at mashing up all those strawberries!

We also celebrated Richard's birthday on the 11th. We may have come up with a new tradition...skookies! Richard's not really a fan of cake, so these were perfect!

It was also (disgusting) Mustache May. Ew. Richard even taught Annie to say "mustache" and point to it.

Richard's work had a really fun Family Day with bounce houses, food, petting zoos, and pony rides. The girls were so excited!!!! Ruby especially, since she's obsessed with all things horse, pony, or unicorn.

The dentists even got to participate in a little tug-o-war action! Richard was the anchor and got some pretty nasty rope burns from having the rope tied around his waist. Unfortunately they lost. Probably because they're dentists. Ha ha!

I love this picture!

And the big news...Annie finally started nursery!!! She did ok for a couple of weeks, but then we went on vacation. After we got back, we only had a couple weeks left in our Jacksonville ward. That nursery is a little out of control and she would not settle down, so we just kept her out. Now that we're in our new ward, she LOVES nursery and asks for "class. bubbles." all the time.
