We didn't stay too late because we had to get the kiddos home to bed (they had childcare at the hotel). But it was fun to get out and socialize with the people Richard knows.

Marine Corps Ball
I forgot to put this little gem of a picture in! Don't you just love self-timer pictures? I don't. It's hideous, but it's all we've got. The Marine Corps celebrated it's birthday with a Ball the night before we left for Arizona. It was fun to get all dressed up and to see Richard in his spiffy uniform. They held the event at at a hotel right on the water in Wilmington. Everything was very nice (except the food- blech!) but we had fun chatting with the people at our table and watching all the cool ceremonies. I've never seen a birthday cake cut using a sword before. Go Marines!
