Cute Cousins

We got to Gilbert the weekend after Annie's first birthday, so we thought we would do a little party for her with our family. Brynlee also just celebrated her birthday, so she already had a party planned on Sunday night. So, being the kind and considerate people we are, we glommed onto Brynlee's party. Don't you just love us?

This is probably how everyone felt about Annie on that trip:

She started getting sick half way through the flight there. She had a really yucky cough/cold that she kindly passed along to all the other kids there.

This is the cake that EmmaLee made for Brynlee. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba, so she was so excited for this. Em is really amazing at cake decorating.


Like I said before, we glommed on, so we got to have the DJ Lance hat part of the cake for Annie. Since we were in Disneyworld for her actual birthday, she didn't get a cake. No cake for your first birthday?! Yikes! That's just un-American! So we set the cake in front of her, lit a candle and sang "Happy Birthday". In this case, a picture is worth a thousand words:

We stayed with Steven and Adina in their wonderful new house. The girls had so much fun playing with Canaya and Mikee. I love that they got know them more. Canaya was so nice to share all of her toys and play with everyone. One night they played Beauty Shop and got their nails done. Canaya's looking like a pro, doing all the dirty work:

Ella talks about her cousins all the time and really wants to move to Arizona. She's still having a hard time with our move to North Carolina. She gets sad every couple of weeks and asks for her old friends and old school. It's so hard for kids to understand distance. They just love it when we get to go to Arizona.
